Dance Research Assignment – ATC 3M/4M
You will research one of the many founder/innovators of dance movement. You will create a power point presentation that will be presented to the class during the first week of June. A sign-up sheet will be posted on the bulletin board.

- Dance beginnings (styles studied, where, with whom, etc.)
- Influence on Dance (innovations, style, technique, moves, etc.)
- Character of his/her style
- Accomplishments/Performances
You must properly document the sources that you use. That means you will include a WORK CITED list in MLA format; see http://www.easybib.com/ to help you with this or see the school librarian.
What do I need for my power point?
- Origins/background
- Dance beginnings (styles studied, where, with whom, etc.)
- Influence on Dance (innovations, style, technique, moves, etc.)
- Character of his/her style
- Accomplishments/Performances
- Footage (from a DVD or you.tube.com) of your dancer (if possible) and/or of his/her performance/choreography
- Anything else that you believe is important to learn from your dancer/choreographer
- Bibliography at the end
